Lincoln Biography Assignment: click on the to the right to download a PDF collection of essays about Abraham Lincoln.  Read the section titled "Groundwork for Greatness: Abraham Lincoln until 1854" pages 14-22.

Mobilization of the North and South Graphic Organizer Assignment 

Directions: Create a graphic organizer of your own that displays in any creative and logical way you choose, all the important information presented in sections 14.2 & 14.3 in Brinkley.  You will be able to use this graphic organizer on a 20 point quiz you will take Tuesday November 17.  Your graphic organizer must:
  • Fit on one 8 ½  x 11 sheet of paper FRONT AND BACK
  • A comparison of the North (its mobilization strategy, economy, support for the war, etc.) vs. the South (its mobilization strategy, economy, support for the war, etc.)
  • It must include at least 1 chart or graph
  • It must include information from each subsection of the chapter
  • It must be a complete summary of section 14.2-14.3
  • Attempt to use as few words as possible yet still make sense
 
You will be able to use this graphic organizer to help you answer questions on your QUIZ on TUESDAY NOVEMBER 17
 
The Graphic Organizer will be worth 10 points and will be turned in with your quiz on Tuesday, November 17
